Where It All Began

Montana was born in the lanes of Bhuleshwar, Mumbai — one of India's oldest and most trusted jewellery markets, where craftsmanship has been passed down through generations. Growing up surrounded by that world, we saw something missing: jewellery that could hold onto real Indian tradition — the kundan, the chokers, the layered necklaces our mothers and grandmothers wore — while actually keeping up with how women live today.

That's the idea Montana was built on.

Our Craft

Every piece we make starts with a design that respects where it comes from. Our kundan sets, rhodium link chains, pearl necklaces and multilayer pieces are shaped by artisans who've spent years perfecting these techniques — the same skill you'd find in a traditional jewellery house, just made for a woman who wants to wear it every day, not save it for one occasion a year.

We pay as much attention to what you don't see as what you do — the finish on the back of a choker clasp, the weight of a pendant against the skin, the way a multilayer set sits without tangling. Small things. But they're the difference between jewellery you wear once and jewellery you reach for again and again.

Built to Last, Made to Shine

One of the things we're proudest of is our anti-tarnish range. Traditional artificial jewellery has always come with a trade-off — the shine fades, the plating wears, and pieces you loved end up in a drawer within months. We didn't think that trade-off should be normal. Our anti-tarnish pieces are built to hold their finish wear after wear, wash after wash — so the piece you fell in love with on day one still looks that way a year later.
